Marvel stars meet up, watch 'Thunderbolts' together
Avengers assemble!
Marvel Cinematic Universe stars, old and new, got together for dinner and movie — specifically the latest Marvel film, “Thunderbolts,” as seen in Robert Downey Jr.’s Instagram post.
Aside from Downey, who played Iron Man, those present were Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang or Ant-Man), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson or the new Captain America, Channing Tatum (Gambit), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing), Vanessa Kirby (The Invisible Woman), and Winston Duke (M’Baku).
“Just wow!!! Dinner and a show with the Old Avengers. So cool, fresh, and deep. Big congrats. #thunderbolts,” Downey said in his caption.
The new and returning Avengers are assembling for “Avengers: Doomsday.” It comes out in 2026 and is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, or the Russo brothers. They will also be directing “Avengers: Secret Wars” to be released in 2027.
It is the first Avengers movie since “Avengers: Endgame” in 2019. This film concluded Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
