Marvel stars meet up, watch 'Thunderbolts' together

Avengers assemble!

Marvel Cinematic Universe stars, old and new, got together for dinner and movie — specifically the latest Marvel film, “Thunderbolts,” as seen in Robert Downey Jr.’s Instagram post.

Aside from Downey , who played Iron Man, those present were Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang or Ant-Man), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson or the new Captain America, Channing Tatum (Gambit), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing), Vanessa Kirby (The Invisible Woman), and Winston Duke (M’Baku).

“Just wow!!! Dinner and a show with the Old Avengers. So cool, fresh, and deep. Big congrats. #thunderbolts,” Downey said in his caption.

The new and returning Avengers are assembling for “ Avengers: Doomsday .” It comes out in 2026 and is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo , or the Russo brothers. They will also be directing “Avengers: Secret Wars” to be released in 2027.

It is the first Avengers movie since “ Avengers: Endgame ” in 2019. This film concluded Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
