BTS' RM and V discharged from military

RM and V have completed their mandatory military service on Tuesday, making them the third and fourth members of BTS to be discharged.

There was no official event to mark his discharge, but RM and V greeted Korean media outside of the training center based on the livestream video of Korea Now, the official English YouTube channel of Yonhap News Agency. 

The pair spoke to the press right after their discharge.

RM and V enlisted at the same time in December 2023.

The two also released music while in the military. 

RM came out with the album, “Right Place, Wrong Person” in 2024 and a feature in Tablo’s “Stop the Rain” last May.

Some of V’s releases include the singles “Winter Ahead” with Park Hyo Shin and a cover of “White Christmas” with Bing Crosby.

It was officially announced on June 7 that RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were set to be released.

The members’ discharge comes right in time for Festa, or the BTS debut anniversary celebrations happening this month until June 13.
