'Walking Dead' actress Kelley Mack dies at 33
Kelley Mack, best known for her role in “The Walking Dead,” has passed away. She was 33.
Her death was announced by her sister in an Instagram post on Wednesday, saying the actress "peacefully" died on August 2. Her mother Kristen and her aunt Karen were with her
“It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go,” she said.
“Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express,” she added.
A memorial service will be held in Ohio on August 16.
Ending the post, Kelly's sister expressed how proud she was of Kelley, "I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God," she wrote.
According to a report by Deadline, Kelley died of glioma, a type of tumor that forms in the brain or spinal cord, that is often cancerous, and can be life-threatening.
Kelley played Addy in the ninth season of the hit post-apocalyptic zombie franchise. Aside from “Walking Dead,” she also appeared in the TV series “9-1-1,” and “Chicago Med.”
