Lee Ji Hoon's agency confirms wife reported him to police for alleged domestic violence

Lee Ji Hoon’s agency, Y.ONE Entertainment, has confirmed that he is the actor reported to the police by his wife for alleged domestic violence.

However, the agency denied that any assault happened.

“During a marital argument, the police arrived on the scene due to a report by his wife, but they determined based on testimony at the scene that it was not a serious incident,” the statement said as published by Soompi.

“There was no assault, and his wife has clearly stated that she does not wish to press charges, so the case is currently in the process of being closed,” it added.

Y.ONE Entertainment apologized for giving the public causes for concern, and said that Lee Ji Hoon and his wife are reflecting on the incident.

According to Soompi, police received a phone call on July 24, which claimed that Lee Ji Hoon assaulted his wife in their home. During an argument, the actor tried to leave the house but his wife stopped him, which led to a physical altercation.

Lee Ji Hoon was initially investigated by the police, but his wife did not want to press charges. The incident was classified as domestic violence instead of a criminal case.

The police plans on closing the case soon, the report added.
