Yugyeom of GOT7 to enlist in South Korean military this September

Yugyeom of GOT7 is set to begin his mandatory South Korean military service on September 29.

According to a report on Soompi, the K-pop idol applied to join the Army Military Band and has received a final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration. He will undergo basic military training before serving in the band.

His agency, AOMG, said there will be no separate events on the day of Yugyeom's enlistment to "prevent accidents due to on-site confusion or crowding."

"We ask that you continue to give your love and support to Yugyeom, who will return after diligently carrying out his military duty," they said.

Yugyeom is the third GOT7 member to enlist in the South Korean military after Jay B and Jinyoung.
