Lee Yi Kyung's agency to take legal action vs. 'malicious rumors' amid lewd text claims

K-Drama actor Lee Yi Kyung’s agency has announced that it will pursue legal action after allegations surfaced against him in online forums and social media.

In a statement published by Soompi, Sangyoung ENT called the claims "false information and malicious rumors."

“Given the seriousness of the situation, we will assess the extent of both direct and indirect damages caused by the dissemination of false information and take all necessary legal measures accordingly,” it said.

“Please note that both the creation and reckless distribution of such content are subject to legal action. We ask for your caution to prevent any unnecessary harm from arising.”

Sangyoung ENT also said it will continue monitoring with the help from fans, and “will continue to do our utmost to protect our artist.”

According to reports, screenshots of Lee Yi Kyung's text messages asking for sexual favors have spread when the supposed victim posted them in an online community.

Lee Yi Kyung had supporting roles in “My Love from the Star” and “Descendants of the Sun.”
