Jonathan Bailey is People magazine’s ‘sexiest man alive’ for 2025

Jonathan Bailey was named People magazine’s “sexiest man alive” for 2025. 

In their report, the magazine described the British actor as someone who “knows how to bring the heat.”

“After diving into the frigid ocean off a beach south of London for this cover shoot (his idea), he sits down in a cable knit sweater and requests a glass of Bordeaux (this writer joins him as well), and within minutes everyone in the room looks flushed,” People wrote. 

“It’s also quickly obvious why the English actor, 37, brimming with charm, wit and almost unfairly handsome looks, has become one of the most irresistible stars in Hollywood. And yet he’s still getting used to all the fuss,” the magazine added.

According to Bailey, he was "incredibly flattered" by the recognition. 

“It’s a huge honor. Obviously I’m incredibly flattered. And it’s completely absurd. It’s been a secret, so I’m quite excited for some friends and family to find out,” he told People.

Bailey is known for his role as Anthony Bridgerton in the hit Netflix franchise “Bridgerton.” The series is set to premiere its fourth season in the first quarter of 2026. 

He previously starred in “Jurassic World: Rebirth” with Scarlett Johansson, as well as“Wicked” as Fiyero. 

Bailey is set to reprise his role in the sequel “Wicked: For Good,” which will premiere in cinemas on November 19.

Last year, actor and director John Krasinski was hailed as the "sexiest man alive" by People.
