Barbie Hsu honored with memorial statue in Taiwan on 1st death anniversary

A year after her sudden passing, Barbie Hsu continues to be mourned and honored by the people closest to her.

Singer and DJ Koo Jun Yup, Barbie's husband, designed a memorial statue in her honor, and unveiled it on her first death anniversary, alongside her mother.

The statue now permanent stands in Barbie's resting place in Chin Pao San in New Taipei.

Among the celebrities who attended the event were Barbie's fellow "Meteor Garden" stars, Jerry Yan and Vic Chou.

Barbie passed away at the age of 48 last year due to pneumonia. The Taiwanese actress is best known for her role as Shan Cai in "Meteor Garden."

Following her death, co-stars Jerry , Ken Chu , and Rainie Yang shared heartfelt tributes.
