Alex Consani becomes first trans woman to host Met Gala: 'Such an honor'

Alex Consani has made history as the first trans woman to host the Met Gala, and she took to social media to mark the important milestone.

On Instagram, the American model and social media personality shared her look for the annual benefit: a Gucci ensemble featuring a sheer nude corset top and a skirt adorned with black feathers.

“[Thank you so much] to everyone who made this possible,” Alex wrote.

“To be the first trans woman to host The Met is such an honor, and for everyone who made this fantasy come to life, thank you so so much!” she added.

In 2024, Alex also made history alongside Valentina Sampaio as the first trans models to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
