K-pop group KARD to disband after album release, world tour

K-pop group KARD is set to disband.

Their agency, DSP Media, announced the news through a statement published by Soompi.

Before the members go their separate ways, the group will release their first album "Where To Now? (Part.2): NOWHERE" on July 28. It will be followed by a world tour.

"After careful and thoughtful discussions with all four members, we have mutually agreed that this album and tour will mark the conclusion of KARD's journey as a group," DSP Media said.

"We would like to once again express our heartfelt gratitude to Hidden Kard for standing by Kard every step of the way," they added. "We also hope you will continue to support and encourage each member as they begin the next chapter of their individual journeys."

KARD debuted in 2017. It is composed of two male and two female members: J.seph, BM, Somin, and Jiwoo. Their songs include "Bomb Bomb," "Hola Hola," and "Don't Recall."

The group was in the Philippines in 2022 for the Halloween concert, Hallyuween.

They returned in 2023 for the Asia Artist Awards, where they performed and were among the acts named AAA Best Musician. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
