Tom Holland was touched after hearing that Anne Hathaway called him her “dream son” in an interview while promoting their film “The Odyssey.”

In an interview with GMA Network’s Lyn Ching, the actor was told about Anne's comment, and he replied, "That's very sweet.”

Tom further shared with Ching that not taking anything for granted is one of the greatest lessons he learned from his parents.

“I’m so lucky to do what I do and to do it with the people that I get to do it with. And the moment that you start taking those things for granted is the moment you’ll get lost,” he said.

“Hollywood is a crazy place and fame is a really interesting thing to deal with. And staying tethered to the ground and remaining true to the person you were before all of those amazing things happened, I think is a really, really important life skill,” the actor added.

Tom shared that when he was growing up and was being difficult, his father would tell him, “you’re such a movie star.” He said it was an important lesson for him to prove that he is still his son.

“I think that was something that was super important to my success,” he said.

In "The Odyssey" Tom plays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus (Matt Damon) and Penelope (Anne Hathaway).

In an earlier interview on “ETalk,” Anne said, “Well, first of all, I have to say as a mom in real life, I very much hope all of my children grow up to be as wonderful as my onscreen child.”

“Tom is like a dream son. And that honestly is kind of like the key to it. We have this amazing script, brilliant actors. But also, I just really love Tom and I really love Matt [Damon],” Anne said.
