Mary Rivera, known as Ned's lola in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home,' dies

Mary Rivera, the Filipina actress best known for portraying Ned Leeds' grandmother in “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” has died. She was 82.

According to her obituary, Rivera passed away on April 15 in Honolulu, Hawaii. A family member later told TMZ that she died after suffering a stroke.

Rivera became a fan favorite for her memorable appearance in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Her brief but memorable scene featured her speaking in Tagalog.

"Ned, sabihin mo diyan sa mamang 'yan na alisin 'yung agiw sa sulok ha?" Rivera’s character said in the film.

Born on June 2, 1943, Rivera was a retired missionary. According to her obituary, appearing in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was among the achievements she was most proud of.

Rivera was survived by her husband, Alejandro Rivera, and their four children, 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
