Katseye's Lara says Manon remains important part of group's journey amid hiatus

Katseye’s Lara briefly addressed a question about fellow member Manon’s ongoing hiatus.

In an interview with Variety during the premiere of the group’s documentary “Katseye: Wild Hearts,” Lara was asked if she could share an update on Manon.

“I think it’s not our place to speak on that,” Lara said.

She, however, emphasized Manon’s significance to the group and the documentary.

“But she’s in this film and it’s so awesome to see her in it and she’s like such an important and beautiful part of our journey and our story,” she added.

Katseye debuted in 2024 with six members, including Filipina member Sophia, and visited Manila in 2024 for a fan showcase, appearances, and collabs.

In February, Manon went on hiatus, and two months later, she removed Katseye from her Instagram bio but said she remains in positive communication with Hybe and Geffen.

Katseye performed at Coachella in April. In May, they won their first-ever American Music Award.

Katseye is known for their songs “Gabriela,” “Gnarly,” “Gameboy,” "Touch," and "Debut.”
