Bennie Boatwright nears completion of naturalization process, takes PH Oath of Allegiance

Bennie Boatwright moved a step closer to completing his naturalization process after taking the Philippine Oath of Allegiance.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) shared photos of Boatwright’s oath-taking on Wednesday, noting that the remaining step is the processing of his Philippine passport.

Once his passport is issued, Boatwright could become eligible to represent the Philippines as part of Gilas Pilipinas, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and the rules of the tournament he seeks to play in.
