NBA 2012 All-Star starters roster released


The NBA All-Star starters rosters for the 2012 NBA All Star Game were released Friday by the National Basketball Association through its website NBA.com. The Eastern Conference All-Star starters include reigning MVP Derrick Rose and Dwayne Wade as guards, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony as forwards and Dwight Howard as center. For the West, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant take the starting guard spots while Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin come back as forwards. Andrew Bynum also appears for the first time as center for the west. Surprisingly, Dwight Howard had the most number of votes for starters at 1,600,390. Blake Griffin had the fewest at 876,451. The oldest starter is Kobe Bryant at 33 years old while the youngest is Blake Griffin at 22 years old. The All-Star game will be played on February 26, 2012. It is the second time Orlando, Florida will be hosting the event, but it is the first time for newest Magic home court, the Amway Center.
