NBA: Rockets' Patterson fined for criticizing refs on Twitter
The NBA has fined Houston Rockets forward Patrick Patterson $25,000 for criticizing officiating via Twitter, NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Stu Jackson announced Monday (Tuesday, PHL time). The tweet in question, which has since been removed, said, "This game shows how biased & one side the **** are in this league. Wish we had a superstar. #smh #nocalls. Still proud of how we fought." Patterson tweeted out that comment after the Rockets lost 95-91 Saturday (Sunday, PHL time) against the Los Angeles Clippers. In that game, Houston was whistled for 25 fouls, versus the 17 of LA. As a result, the Clippers took 27 free throws, nine more than the Rockets' 18. - AMD, GMA News
