NBA: Bobcats make history with lowest winning percentage

The Charlotte Bobcats were placed in the NBA record books Friday morning after losing to the New York Knicks at home, 104-84.

With the loss, the Bobcats now hold the league record for lowest winning percentage at .110 after winning only 7 games while losing 59.

"If we had had all our guys and we had done this, I don't' know what I'd have done. But, we had injuries that took a big toll. I'm not ashamed of what we've done. I would have liked for it to be different. These guys have me everything they had. I can't fault them for this. They gave me all they could," said Bobcats coach Paul Silas in an NBA.com interview.

They ended this season's campaign with a 23-game losing streak, tying the league's third longest losing streak record that was previously shared by the 95-96 Vancouver Drizzlies and the 97-98 Denver Nuggets. The Bobcats, however, now hold the longest losing streak to end a season, eclipsing Cleveland Cavaliers' 19-game losing streak to end the 81-82 season. — Reneé Fopalan/RSJ, GMA News
