NBA: Laker Jordan Hill's mug shot released

The Los Angles Lakers' forward Jordan Hill had his mugshot released Thursday by celebrity website TMZ.com. Hill turned himself over the the Houston police after being accused of choking his girlfriend in an argument last February.

"I'm saddened to learn of the accusations that were filed against me today. At this time I cannot comment further than to say that my attorbers are working to gather all of the facts and evidence and I plan to cooperate completely with the authorities," said Hill in a statement released through the Lakers.

Hill was immediately released after posting a $5000 bond. The website also reports that the judge in charge of Hill's case did not impose any travel restrictions, thereby making the 6-10 forward available for the rest of the playoffs. The 24-year old has been performing well for the Lakers, scoring a total of 38 points with 43 rebounds in the last four games.

"I'd like to apologogize to the Lakers organization and to all of their fans for the untimeliness of the accusations. I promise to keep my focus and attention on the playpffs during this time and to helping my team win another championship," Hill added. — Reneé Fopalan/RSJ, GMA News
