Salamat, a graduate of Ateneo De Manila University, was chosen 13th in the 2011 rookie draft, but has yet to find his niche in the PBA, norming 2.78 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.83 assists in a limited role over 23 games in the current seasons.
Jazul on the other hand, actually returns to the team that drafted him in 2010. He was however traded quickly to the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters without seeing a minute for the Aces, playing instead in 35 games for RoS in the 2010-11 season.
The former Letran Knight was then released by the Painters to the new franchise Shopinas.com Clickers following his rookie season, and it is there that he has made his mark. Over 25 games, including multiple stints in the starting five, Jazul has put up 9.32 points, 3.04 rebounds and 2.96 assists.
Jazul is expected to back-up both guard positions for Alaska, which currently starts the explosive duo of LA Tenorio and Cyrus Baguio. Salamat on the other hand, will get a chance to show what he can do with extended minutes while wearing the Air21 uniform. -AMD, GMA News
