NBA: Lakers officially announce Nash acquisition
The Los Angeles Lakers have made official their acquisition of two-time MVP Steve Nash, sending first round draft picks in 2013 and 2015, as well as second round draft picks in 2013 and 2014 to the Phoenix Suns, general manager Mitch Kupchak announced in a press release.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports earlier reported that it was $27 million deal over three-years, fully guaranteed.OFFICIAL: Lakers acquire 2-time MVP @SteveNash. The 16-year NBA veteran was a back-to-back Most Valuable Player with the Suns in 2005 and 2006, and is an eight-time NBA All-Star. He has career averages of 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 8.6 assists.
