NBA: 2007 champion Gerald Green leads this year's Slam Dunk contest participants

2007 Slam Dunk champion Gerald Green of the Indiana Pacers hopes to show he still has the hops when he battles five others in the 2013 NBA Slam Dunk contest. Green, who won in 2007 as a member of the Boston Celtics, and finished as runner-up in 2008 with the Minnesota Timberwolves, will now try to claim the crown for a second time, but he'll face stiff competition from reigning titlist, Jeremy Evans of the Utah Jazz.

Other participants in the contest include Eric Bledsoe of the Los Angeles Clippers, Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets, James White of the New York Knicks, and rookie Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors. It is one of the four events that will contribute points towards the newly-installed East versus West format. The conference that amasses the most points will get $350,000 for the charity of that side's captain's choice. - Adrian Dy, GMA News
