NBA: Miami Heat release Harlem Shake video
(Updated 10:17am) The Miami Heat became the latest NBA team to embrace the Harlem Shake craze, putting out on YouTube a video of the entire team performing their take on the viral meme.
The Heat's version, shot in their locker room, begins with recent signee Chris "Birdman" Andersen flapping his arms like his nickname, before the entire team gets into the act.
Among other highlights, LeBron James is in a king costume, Mario Chalmers is dressed like Nintendo video game character Super Mario, while Dwyane Wade wears a bear mascot's head and is decked out in chains.
The Heat, defending NBA champions, have plenty of time to play around and build chemistry. They have the best record in the Eastern Conference, 41-14, and are six games ahead of the second-seeded Indiana Pacers.
The Dallas Mavericks previously put out their version of the same dance on their YouTube page, as did the Toronto Raptors, while the Phoenix Suns have one that features fans of the team, but not the players. - AMD, GMA News
