NBA: Knicks set to acquire Andrea Bargnani - report
(Updated 10:08am) The New York Knicks are set to acquire forward Andrea Bargnani from the Toronto Raptors, Howard Beck of the New York Times reported Sunday (Monday, PHL time).
According to Beck, the two sides have agreed to the terms of the deal and are merely waiting for league approval.
In order to acquire Bargnani, the Knicks would send the Raptors Marcus Camby and Steve Novak, plus a future first-round pick and a future second-round pick, he writes.
However, it was later reported that the league wanted the two teams to use the salary cap figures of the players for the upcoming 2013-14 season, which means the Knicks need to add a minimum-level salary player to make the cap figures work.
The injury-hit Bargnani has been limited to 66 games over the past two seasons. He most recently averaged 12.7 points on 39.9 percent shooting, along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
The 7'0" center is set to earn $10.8 million this season, and has a early termination option in 2014.
Novak is known to be solely a three-point threat, hitting 43.3 percent of his three-pointers for his career. Camby on the other hand is 17-season NBA veteran in the twilight of his career. The former is on the books for three more seasons, for roughly $3.5 million per year, while Camby's contract becomes partially unguaranteed in 2014.
The Los Angeles Clippers were also said to be interested in Bargnani, and allegedlly proposed a deal centered around Caron Butler. - AMD, GMA News

Still think this goes through w/sign-and-trade of Prigioni or K-Mart ... but I've lost count how many Raps deals over the years got snagged

As @ESPNSteinLine just noted, Knicks and Raps can revive Bargnani deal with NY including a minimum-salary player. Deal will still get done.
