NBA: Tony Allen set to return to Memphis
(Updated 1:03pm) Tony Allen is set to return to the Memphis Grizzlies, reportedly re-signing to the tune of a four-year, $20 million deal, multiple reports said.
Allen later tweeted out "Memphis stand up!!!! #GrizzNation" seemingly confirming the news.
The 31-year-old swingman is a back-to-back member of the NBA All-Defensive First Team. He averaged 8.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.5 steals in the 2012-13 regular season, before upping his numbers to 10.3 points, 6.1 rebounds 1.8 assists and 2.0 steals, all career playoffs highs, when the Griz made a run to the Western Conference Finals.
Free agent big man Jon Leur also agreed to a multi-year extension with the team, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported. According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, Leur, who was traded to the Grizzlies midway through the season, will sign a three-year deal worth $3 million when the moratorium on new contracts is lifted on July 10, - AMD, GMA News
