NBA: Pacers continue to improve bench, add Chris Copeland
The Indiana Pacers continued to improve their bench depth, reaching an agreement with New York Knicks restricted free agent Chris Copeland, Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday (Saturday, PHL time).
Copeland will ink a two-year deal worth $6.1 million when the moratorium on new contracts is lifted on July 10.
Although Copeland is a restricted free agent, the Knicks are unable to match to deal, after re-signing guard Pablo Prigioni, Thursday (Friday, PHL time).
In his rookie season, Copeland averaged 8.7 points and 2.1 rebounds over 56 regular season games, while shooting 47.9 percent from the field and 42.1 percent on three-pointers.
The Pacers also reached a two-year deal with reserve point guard CJ Watson earlier this week. - AMD, GMA News
