Garcia, whom the Rockets actually waived at the start of the offseason in order to carve out cap space for center Dwight Howard, earned a new two-year deal, worth $2.6 million, Spears reported, citing league sources. The second year is said to be a player's option.
Casspi on the other hand, after spending two quiet seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, signs a two-year deal as well, worth $2 million, with the second year being a team option, said Wojnarowski.
After coming over from a trade with the Sacramento Kings, Garcia averaged 6.4 points (38.6 percent on three-pointers), 1.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18 regular season games with the Rockets. Casspi, the first Israeli player drafted in the first round, saw action in just 43 games with the Cavaliers, with 4.0 points (32.9 percent on three-pointers) and 2.7 rebounds to his name.
Both players, coincidentally, were originally drafted by the Sacramento Kings. - AMD, GMA News
