12-man line-up for FIBA Asia Championship announced

Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes earlier submitted the 12-man roster that will represent the country in the upcoming FIBA Asia Championship.

Jayson Castro, LA Tenorio, and Jimmy Alapag will run the point, with Larry Fonacier, Jeff Chan, and Gary David as the shooters. Marc Pingris and Gabe Norwood will play at three, with big men Marcus Douthit, June Mar Fajardo, Ranidel De Ocampo, and Japeth Aguilar rounding out the roster.



The team sent 13 players to New Zealand for the final stretch of their preparations. Beau Belga was reportedly the last cut from the team.

The Philippines will start the tournament against Saudi Arabia, on August 1 at the MOA Arena. - GMA News
