The Minnesota Timberwolves and restricted free agent center Nikola Pekovic have come to terms on a new contract, team president Flip Saunders announced on Twitter, Wednesday (Thursday, PHL time).

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that it is a five-year contract worth $60 million, with up to $8 million more in incentives.

The re-signing of Pekovic caps the Timberwolves' offseason, after bolstering their shooting with free agent swingmen Kevin Martin and Corey Brewer.

Pekovic, a second-round pick in 2008, made massive strives in each of his three previous seasons in the NBA. During the 2012-13 season, he established new career highs in points (16.3), rebounds (8.8), blocks (0.8) and games started.  - AMD, GMA News
