NBA: Knicks forward Bargnani out indefinitely
New York Knicks forward Andrea Bargnani is out indefinitely with a torn ligament in his left elbow, the team announced Thursday (Friday, PHL time) via Twitter.
An MRI to A.Bargnani’s l. elbow revealed a torn ligament.The injury occurred last night vs 76ers at 2:40 in 3rd qtr. He is out indefinitely.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of their Wednesday (Thursday, PHL time) loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. That defeat sent the Knicks down to 15-27, 11th in the Eastern Conference.

Bargnani has struggled with the Knicks since coming over in a trade with the Toronto Raptors during the offseason. Through 42 games, he's norming just 13.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks though his field goal percentage of 44.2 percent leads the team.

Coupled with the previously announced injuries of Amare Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin, the front court of the Knicks suddenly looks very shallow. Center Tyson Chandler will certainly get more playing time, while fringe rotation players such as Cole Aldrich and Jeremy Tyler may demand more minutes on the court. - AMD, GMA News
