PBA: Philippine Cup Finals MVP Mark Barroca claims obstacle course crown

Philippine Cup Finals MVP Mark Barroca of the San Mig Coffee Mixers dethroned three-time champ Jonas Villanueva in the PBA All-Star Weekend obstacle course challenge, Friday at the MOA Arena.

Barroca finished with a time of 29.8 seconds versus Villanueva's 36 seconds in the final round.

Barroca, and Air21 point guard Villanueva, both advanced to the final round along with Alaska Ace Jvee Casio (54.5 seconds).

In the elimination round, Barroca was also tops with 31.4 seconds, followed by Villanueva (34.9 seconds) and Casio (38.3 seconds).

Rounding out the field were Barako Bull's Willie Miller (40.5 seconds), San Miguel Beer's Sol Mercado (41.6 seconds), Ginebra's LA Tenorio (42.9 seconds), Rain or Shine's Paul Lee (44.0 seconds), Talk 'N Text's Jayson Castro (49.4 seconds) and Meralco's John Wilson (54.2 seconds).

GlobalPort's representative Terrence Romeo was not able to participate reportedly due to back spasms. He will also miss tonight's Greats versus Stalwarts exhibition match.  - AMD, GMA News
