Brian Heruela showed he has recovered from a shoulder injury, scoring 13 points and dishing out 11 assists in his best game this conference as the Big Chill Superchargers defeated the Café France Bakers, 68-54, on Thursday, to break its slump in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup, at the Ynares Sports Arena.

The Superchargers (3-3) scored the first five points of the game and never looked back as they ended their three-game losing skid and sent the Bakers (2-4) to their fourth-straight loss.

“I’m relieved. We’ve really have been struggling the past five games. But today I thought we’re consistent,” said Big Chill coach Robert Sison.

All but two players scored for Big Chill as it moved up to fifth spot in the team standings.

“We treated this game as a do-or-die game. Hopefully, this win will help boost our confidence,” said Sison.

The Big Chill head coach also noted the team played tough defense on Café France’s Rod Ebondo, who only had six points in the game playing against Rodney Brondial, Dexter Maiquez, and Michael Miranda. - Reuben Terrado, SPIN
