NBA: Raptors send Salmons to Hawks for Williams, Nogueira - reports
The Atlanta Hawks can potentially clear more cap space for a free agent run after acquiring veteran swingman John Salmons from the Toronto Raptors, in exchange for combo guard Lou Williams and 2013 first round pick Lucas Nogueira, according to multiple media reports.

ESPN’s Marc Stein broke the deal, and indicated that Salmons’ non-guaranteed salary means Atlanta can buy out his $7 million deal for just $1 million, lightening the team’s payroll.

Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski added that 7’0” center Lucas Nogueira was included the deal. The 21-year-old was the 16th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks, who traded his rights to the Hawks. He currently plays in Spain for Asefa Estudiantes.
Salmons, acquired by the Raptors last season in the Rudy Gay trade with the Sacramento Kings, normed 5.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists last season.
Williams on the other hand, in his first season back after recovering from ACL surgery, averaged 10.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists. - AMD, GMA News
