NBA: Bosh aims for max contract
Free agent forward Chris Bosh prefers a four-year maximum salary contract over taking less money to return to the Miami Heat, according to CBSSports.com.
In the days before free agency began last Tuesday, it was speculated that the Heat's Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Bosh would re-sign for less to make more runs at the NBA championship. Since then, it has been reported that James would not take a discount to return to Miami. He has never been the highest-paid player on his team in his 11-year NBA career.
James' agent, Rich Paul, has talked with the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers. The Rockets, Mavericks, Suns, Cavaliers, Lakers and Chicago Bulls have or can create at least $20 million in salary cap space to fit in Bosh. That makes Bosh the most likely member of the Heat's Big Three to change teams. - Reuters
