Watch: How San Mig star Marc Pingris asked Danica Sotto to be his wife

Saturday night's episode of "Wagas" on GMA News TV featured the love story of Marc Pingris and wife Danica Sotto, with Carl Guevarra playing the San Mig Super Coffee Mixers star forward and Ryza Cenon as the actress.

The couple re-told the romantic story of how he asked her to marry him.

 

 

According to Marc, he spoke to their pastor before proposing to Danica.

 

"Kinausap ko si Pastor Robert namin, na ito talaga ang nararamdaman ko eh. Ang sabi niya, 'Eh pakasalan mo kung ganyan talaga ang nararamdaman mo, kesa naman yung magkasala ka pa, na alam mo yun. Kung yan talaga ang nararamdaman mo, gawin mo. Baka yan na yung sinasabi sa 'yo ni Lord na diyan ka mag-start, and then diretso na yan,'" he said.

 

On that fateful night, Marc insisted that Danica send her driver home, so he could drive her home instead. Marc was already crying even before he popped the question, leading Danica to wonder if anything was wrong.

 

Marc finally asked Danica, "Will you marry me?" before realizing that he needed to get down on his knee.

 

"Will you marry me?" he repeated.
