NBA: James holds meeting in Las Vegas - report

Despite continued speculation about the future, there's still no word on where LeBron James will play next season.

James had meetings that lasted more than three hours on Tuesday in Las Vegas, the Associated Press reported.

The free-agent forward did not tip his hand when asked where he plans to play next season, saying only that he had "no complaints" about his situation.

ESPN.com reported that James is to meet with the Miami Heat president Pat Riley on Wednesday in Las Vegas, where James is hosting an annual basketball camp, the LeBron James Skills Academy.

According to ESPN, the meeting between James and Riley will be the first that James has participated in since he opted out of the remaining two years and $42 million on his contract.

There were reports Tuesday that James and Dwyane Wade worked out together in Las Vegas during the morning. Additional reports had the two eating dinner together and going to a club on Monday night.

James has remained silent on his future. After becoming a free agent on July 1, the Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, his former team, emerged as the front-runners for the four-time league MVP. James has won two NBA titles with the Heat.

Sources told ESPN.com that James is increasingly considering the Cavaliers as an option. ESPN.com reported that James' agent, Rich Paul, has already sat down with Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert.

Paul also reportedly had discussions and meetings with the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers. James was not present for those discussions. - Reuters
