Manny Pacquiao's D-League team loses by 27 points in debut

Manny Pacquiao enjoyed his first PBA victory last week as the playing coach of expansion Kia Sorento, but suffered his first defeat as team owner after MP Hotel dropped its first game in the PBA D-League on Monday.
MP Hotel, a new club owned by the boxing icon, bowed to Cafe France, 86-59, in their opening encounter.

The team is managed by Pacquiao's brother Bobby and coached by Davao leagues stalwart Arvin Bonleon.
In other matches, Cebuana Lhuillier cruised past Racal Motors, 89-70, while Wangs Basketball easily dispatched AMA University, 96-78.
Pacquiao's Kia Sorento won against fellow expansion team Blackwater Elite in the opening game of the PBA All-Filipino Cup at the Philippine Arena, giving the boxing superstar a taste of his first win in professional basketball.
