The PBA Office has slapped more than 60,000 pesos worth of fines on Alaska and San Miguel Beer players summoned by Commissioner Chito Salud on Sunday for separate incidents in Game Two of the finals series.
Calvin Abueva was fined 10,000 for a flagrant foul upgraded from a non-call committed on Arwind Santos, an additional 3,000 for flopping, and 1,600 for a second motion technical foul on Chris Ross.
The Beast and Santos, who had been constantly at odds with each other on Friday night, were also charged 1,000 for trash-talking.
San Miguel guard Ronald Tubid, meanwhile, was fined 10,000 for a flagrant foul penalty one committed on Abueva, plus 3,000 for flopping.
Alaska shooter Dondon Hontiveros and Beermen rookie David Semerad, who were engaged in scuffle during the game, were both slapped with a 5,000 fine. Originally a double foul, the call was upgraded to flagrant foul penalty one.
Aces' big man Vic Manuel was also charged 5,000 for his flagrant foul penalty one on Semerad.
Finally, Alaska assistant coach Louie Alas was asked to pay 20,000 for "physically contacting a game official."
Sanctions for Edwin Cortez, the San Miguel utility man who got involved in an encounter with Abueva, and other personnel of both teams have yet to be determined, but the parties were asked not to report to Game Three. - RAF, GMA News
