PBA: Justin Melton's failed blindfolded dunk featured on CNN

Justin Melton's failed blindfolded jam in the Slam Dunk Contest of the PBA All-Star weekend in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan has reached international news.

 

The Purefoods guard, who was the defending co-champion of Rey Guevarra last season, goofed around for his final attempt after botching first first three tries. CNN picked it up and included it in their newscast.

 

 

His Hotshots teammate Joe Devance went to his assistance and took off his shirt to cover Melton's face. They actually ran out of official time before the 5-foot-9 guard could take off, but all in good fun, they were allowed to complete the dunk.

 

Devance lined up Melton with the hoop, but his jump was several feet short which resulted in a wind up slammed into nothing but air. —Marisse Panaligan/JST, GMA News
