It has been a tumultuous playoffs for the PBA in terms of officiating, as several complains and accusations have been hurled by coaches and players against the league referees in the Commissioner's Cup.

Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao did not hold back when speaking out against questionable calls, which reached its peak as he accused referee Rey Yante of being a "bare-faced liar" on Sunday for slapping him with a technical foul due to alleged use of profanities. Even Marc Pingris of Purefoods could not help but call out the referees for allowing too much physicality during games.
