Moving on from a trade is nothing new for Barako Bull guard Joseph Yeo, who is now playing for his sixth team in 10 years in the PBA.

The veteran journeyman played for Coca-Cola Tigers and Sta. Lucia in his early seasons in the league, and then went on to wear the San Miguel Beer, Air21 Express, and Barangay Ginebra jerseys.

The 31-year-old guard, however, admitted that leaving the Gin Kings after getting traded to the Energy took some time to get used to.

"S'yempre very at home din ako sa Ginebra e. Nung nagyari sa akin 'yun (trade), aminin ko naging malungkot ako," said Yeo, who scored a season-high 28 points in Barako's 105-99 victory over Meralco on Sunday.

The former La Salle star said he misses the friends he made in the team, not to mention the passionate Ginebra crowd who never fails to come in droves to cheer for them every game.

"Sarap ng feeling to play with Ginebra, pero you have to move on, ganun talaga," he said. "Kahit papaano naka-move on na ako."

Yeo said he always sees a trade as a blessing for him, a chance to improve his game and learn more from different coaches.

But his stint with Barako Bull so far is made sweeter with their 4-0 start in the Governors' Cup, making them the only undefeated team so far in the conference.

"Kami, enjoy lang namin every game, matalo, manalo, as long as we give our best, okay lang kami," he said. - RAF, GMA News
