Dirk Nowitzki tears up after final game for German national team

With Germany hosting the 2015 FIBA Eurobasket, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki decided to don his country's colors anew to try to help the squad qualify for the Olympic basketball tournament. 

 

On Thursday, Nowitzki's journey with Germany reached the end of the line after his squad lost to Spain, 77-76, in what will probably be his last international game.

 

The German crowd showed its appreciation for the sweet-shooting big man with a standing ovation that brought Nowitzki to tears.
