UST back in tie for first after snapping La Salle streak

University of Santo Tomas caught fire from rainbow country for a come-from-behind victory over De La Salle University, 77-61, on Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena.
The Green Archers led by as much as 14 points midway through the second period, 33-19, before the Growling Tigers unleashed a 12-0 run to cut the deficit to a single basket.
UST, led by Kyle Suarez, Louie Vigil, and Mario Bonleon, continued the onslaught in the third quarter with another 11-0. That gave the Growling Tigers the upper hand at 45-38.
The España-based squad continued to keep the Green Archers at bay the rest of the way for its fifth victory against a single defeat, tying Far Eastern University for first place in the standings.
