Tams resist late Adamson rally for another victory



The FEU Tamaraws resisted a late rally by the Adamson Falcons to earn an 82-69 victory on Wednesday at the MOA Arena in Pasay City.

Russel Escoto led the tams with 13 points of a 6 of 12 shooting clip. Raymar Jose added 12, while Mac Belo had 10. Mike Tolomia and Roger Pogoy had nine each.

With the win, the Tams are now just one game away from securing a twice to beat advantage in the final four.

FEU established a 10-point lead at the half, before leading by as much as 17 points in the third after a Mac Belo trey.

Heading into the final frame, the Falcons were down 66-50, but Joseph Nalos and Jerome Garcia led a late run that cut the lead to four, 68-64.

The Tams responded with key defensive gems soon enough, as Russel Escoto, Roger Pogoy, Reymar Jose, and Monbert Arong cashed in on key baskets to cruise to victory.

Jerome Garcia paced Adamson with 16 markers, while Joseph Nalos chipped in eight. JD Tungcab and Kristian Bernardo tallied 10 each. - GMA News
