Golden State Warriors release Pinoy-inspired shirt

Filipino basketball fans have another reason to rejoice — the 2015 NBA Champions Golden State Warriors will be releasing special-edition Filipino shirt dubbed "Kampeon," bearing a design inspired by the Philippine flag's three stars and sun.

The shirt will be first worn by the sports team during the Filipino Heritage Night that they will be hosting this Saturday, November 14, according to a report on the NBA website.

"Fans will be able to purchase the Filipino Heritage Night shooting shirts at any Warriors Team Store location inside Oracle Arena or at warriorsteamstore.com," the report added.

Aside from truckloads of Filipino food and entertainment from Fil-AM DJs, the highlight of the event is a match between the Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets at the Oracle Arena, the Golden State's home court, in Oakland, California.

Part of the proceeds of the Filipino Heritage Night will be donated to support local Filipino organizations in the Bay Area, the report on NBA.com said. — Raffy Cabristante/LBG, GMA News
