PBA: David scores 40 but Bolts still fall to Barako

Gary David had 40 points, but it was not enough to carry the Meralco Bolts as they bowed to the Barako Bull Energy, 108-106, on Sunday.
The Energy blitzed the Bolts with 32 points in the opening period while allowing just 23 to set the tone of the game.
Josh Urbiztondo led Barako with 12 points off the bench, while RR Garcia and Willie Wilson paced the starters with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Emman Monfort added 12.
David waxed hot from deep, hitting 7 of 9 triples for a 77 percent clip from three-point territory. He finished the game with a 14 of 21 clip for 66 percent along with seven rebounds and three assists.
Rookie Chris Newsome tallied 12 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in a starting role. Reynel Hugnatan, meanwhile, was the only bench player in double figures with 10. - GMA News
