Ateneo de Manila University star Kiefer Ravena is set to bag the Most Valuable Player trophy for the second straight season, emerging on top of the individual statistical tally at the end of the elimination round of the UAAP men's basketball competition.

The Phenom led the league in scoring and assists with 265 points and 68 dimes in 14 games, averaging 18.9 markers and 4.9 feeds per outing. He also placed third in steals and finished just shy of the top 10 in rebounds.

With his overall brilliance, Ravena tallied a total of 69.5 statistical points, edging closest rival Kevin Ferrer of University of Santo Tomas who registered 67.36 SPs.

National University center and last year's Finals MVP Alfred Aroga ranked third with 63.29 SPs, while De La Salle University forward Jeron Teng and Growling Tigers' Ed Daquioag rounded up the top five.

Among newcomers, La Salle's Andrei Caracut will secure the Rookie of the Year award after edging UST's Marvin Lee in the statistical tally.

Caracut finished the season with 9.17 points and 2.08 assists per game for a total of 31.67 SPs, while Lee came close with 31.43 SPs behind his more balanced numbers.

The individual award would be a consolation for the young Archer, whose team bowed out of the final four race on Wednesday. - RAF, GMA News
