Alaska keeps the faith for a comeback
After Paul Lee hit the buzzer beater to win Game Two of the PBA Commissioner's Cup finals for Rain or Shine, Alaska suddenly found itself on a 0-2 hole in the championship series.
It's the total opposite of what they experienced last Philippine Cup finals, when they squandered a 3-0 lead against San Miguel Beer and allowed their foes to turn the series around.
This time, the Aces are the ones keeping the faith that they can pull themselves back up to end their heartbreak the past two conferences.
"2-0 palang, it's a best-of-seven. Siyempre may comeback pa naman e, di ba?" said Calvin Abueva, who finished with 14 points and seven rebounds in 29 minutes.

The team believes they can get some momentum if they can bag that first win of the series, as both of their losses came in tightly-fought games.
"'Yung dalawang talo namin hindi naman kami tinambakan," said veteran swingman Cyrus Baguio. "Disgrasya lang. Kasalanan lang namin 'yung mga maliliit na bagay."
Head coach Alex Compton also remains positive that his wards can muster the energy to stand up and fight on Game Three despite being behind in the series.
"Our general, overall team character is one of great resolve," he said. "It doesn’t mean we’re winning on Wednesday, but if something’s that close, I think it’d be a lot tougher if we lost by thirty twice."
The coach, however, said that his team has to grow quickly to correct their defensive lapses and improve their execution in order to extend the series.
"It’s not that in two games we’ve played terribly, but we definitely haven’t played well enough and smart enough to win," he said.
"We’re going to have to earn it with a lot more precision." — APG, GMA News
