Gilas cadets thrash Indonesia, 83-52
The Gilas Pilipinas cadets rolled into their third consecutive victory in the Southeast Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) Cup with an 83-52 thrashing of Indonesia on Wednesday.
The Filipinos lorded over the rebounds, 54-34, with 20 coming from the offensive end and leaned on a balanced attack to pull off the rout.
Far Eastern University duo Mike Tolomia and Roger Pogoy led the national team in scoring with 12 points apiece, while Kevin Ferrer added 10 points.
Jio Jalalon, Mac Belo, and Ken Holmqvist also combined for 24 markers to help keep the Cadets undefeated in the tournament so far.
On Tuesday, the Cadets also fashioned out a huge victory against Singapore, winning, 81-59.
Jalalon and Almond Vosotros led their offense with 17 and 14 points, while Tolomia had 12 off the bench.
The team will next face hosts Thailand on Friday. — APG, GMA News
