Salem lifts NU past Arellano

Matt Salem hit five triples to lead the NU Bulldogs to a 68-65 win against the Arellano University Chiefs on Sunday at the 20-6 FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup. 

 

The former DLSU Green Archer shot 5 of 8 from the field as the Bulldogs improved to 6-1. Chino Mosqueda also added 11 points, as the two combined for nine boards. Alfred Aroga paced his team in rebounding with 16 while scoring seven points. 

 

Jiovani Jalalon led Arellano with 24 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals, as no other Chief scored in double figures. Dioncee Holts had nine points while Michael Canete added six.
