Jimmy Alapag announces retirement 'for good'

Mighty Mouse is bidding Philippine basketball farewell, saying "it's time to talk away for good."

In a video posted by fellow player Eric Menk, Jimmy Alapag announced his retirement.

"It's been an amazing 13 years but turning 39 next month and having left everything that I have on the basketball court, it's time to talk away for good," Alapag said.

Alapag retired last season, but came back to play one more year with the Meralco Bolts after spending his entire career with Talk 'N Text. He broke the Allan Caidic's all-time PBA record for three-pointers made, while helping Meralco make the finals for the very first time in the recent Governors' Cup. —JST, GMA News
